About Me
Â
I've been in the fire service since 2008 and became a professional firefighter in 2015. It took five years and numerous interviews to secure my first job, but once I understood the importance of aligning with panel expectations and connecting with the department's mission, I was hired by the Everett Fire Department. After seven years there, I moved to the Port of Seattle Fire Department, acing the interview on my first try. Now, I help others prepare for interviews, using the lessons I've learned along the way.

"I had 15 interviews under my belt over many years and was not improving on my own. After reaching out to Ryan for only 2 coaching sessions, I immediately landed the job offer at my next interview. He helped me get out of my own head. He spoke frankly about how simple the interview presentation needs to be and helped me develop the right structure to my stories. He was a great listener and allowed the coaching process to meet me where I was at”
— Ben M.   North Whatcom Fire

“Ryan’s coaching was invaluable. His expertise, professionalism, and guidance helped me master the firefighter interview process and manage anxiety, allowing me to present my authentic self. After four years of rejection, just four sessions with Ryan led to an offer from the next department I applied to. I’m deeply grateful for his pivotal role in my success. Ryan was the decisive factor in my success, and I am deeply grateful for his pivotal role in helping me achieve my goal.”
— Nolan H.    Bellevue Fire
